Understanding bottled water pH
Pure water is pH 7. Below 6.5 is mildly acidic (typical for purified or sparkling waters because dissolved CO₂ forms carbonic acid). Above 7.5 is alkaline — usually high in bicarbonate or calcium and often marketed for athletes or reflux relief.
pH alone doesn't tell you a water is "better" or "healthier" — your stomach acid sits around pH 1.5–3.5 and neutralises everything you drink within seconds. Use this tool to compare brands at a glance, then dig into TDS and mineral content for the full picture.
